Issue Position

People have personal and religious beliefs about abortion, and I'm not asking anyone to change their beliefs. My stance is in reference to legal access to a medical procedure that allows families to determine their own futures.

The decision to have an abortion is deeply personal and one of the most important decisions a person can face.

An attempted abortion late enough into a pregnancy to result in a live birth is extremely rare and happens only when the mother's life is at risk or the fetus has a fatal condition.
